Regulatory framing

Maps to the acts your auditors quote in United States.

Primary obligation

OSHA General Duty Clause (29 USC §654)

US retail employers must furnish a workplace free from recognised hazards under OSHA's General Duty Clause. OSHA's Guidelines for Preventing Workplace Violence for Retail (Publication 3153) set the expected program: hazard assessment, engineering and administrative controls, training, and recordkeeping. Duress maps directly to each element.
