UK utilities and extractives operators fall under HSWA 1974 plus the Mines Regulations 2014, Quarries Regulations 1999, and the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989. The HSE's lone-worker guidance (INDG401) sets the response standard, with the Working Alone in Safety guidance specifically applicable to field-service teams.
