What a lone worker device actually costs in Australia.

Most vendors in this category won't put a number on a page - you have to book a call to find out what a safety device costs. We publish ours. Here is real pricing for Australia, straight from the same catalog our configurator and product pages use.

The numbers

Device + monitoring, per user

Two parts to the cost: the device (a one-off, or free for the app), and a per-user monthly licence that includes accredited 24/7 monitoring. Prices shown for Australia, before term and volume discounts.

DeviceHardware (one-off)Per user / month
FalconBody-worn camera, watch-format $499 AUD $35 AUD
PhoenixDiscreet Bluetooth card $149 AUD $35 AUD
Eagle4G device, indoor positioning $999 AUD $35 AUD
Duress AppThe phone as the device No hardware $35 AUD

The monthly licence ($35 AUD/user) includes the Duress App, accredited 24/7 monitoring, and Pathfinder (the admin platform). Term and volume discounts apply on top - larger and longer commitments pay less per user. Build an exact quote in the configurator, or see the full pricing page.

What drives the price

Three things move the number

  • Device choice. The app is free; hardware ranges from the discreet Phoenix card up to the Eagle body-worn camera. Match the device to the risk, not the budget.
  • Team size. Volume discounts mean the per-user price falls as the team grows - the configurator shows the exact break at your headcount.
  • Term. A longer commitment lowers the monthly. Month-to-month is available; annual and multi-year pay less.
Questions

Cost questions, answered

How much does a lone worker device cost in Australia?
Hardware is a one-off (the Duress App is free), and monitoring is a per-user monthly licence of $35 AUD that includes accredited 24/7 response. A discreet Phoenix card plus monitoring is the entry point; a Falcon or Eagle body-worn camera costs more up front. Term and volume discounts reduce the per-user price - build an exact quote in the configurator.
Why do most lone worker vendors hide their pricing?
Quote-led pricing lets a vendor set the number per deal. It also means a buyer can't compare without booking sales calls. We publish our pricing because a safety decision shouldn't require a negotiation to get a number - and because our per-user monitoring is competitive enough to show.
Is there a lone worker device with no monthly fee?
Some personal alarms advertise 'no monthly fee' - but that usually means no monitoring: the alarm goes to a phone or a siren, not a trained operator. The monthly licence is what pays for a human answering in seconds, around the clock. It's the part that turns a button into a response.
What's included in the monthly licence?
The Duress App, accredited 24/7 monitoring on every alert, and Pathfinder (the admin platform for managing devices, teams and incident records). There's no separate charge for monitoring - it's standard on every plan.
