If you urgently need emergency services, activate Emergency to connect to 24/7 Operators with live streaming video, audio and location.
You can activate Emergency with the app or with Phoenix.
Activating Emergency
Tap the Emergency button on the app. You will get a five second countdown before the emergency is declared.
When you activate Emergency, the app connects to the Duress 24/7 Operations Centre, and also notifies the nominated people in the organisation. Duress Operators and your nominated contacts will receive the alert, including your live location, live video and audio.
When you have activated an emergency, you will see when Operators are online, and if they have requested emergency services.
If you no longer need assistance, tap Cancel. This will notify Duress Operators that you you no longer need assistance, and signal to them that it is safe for them to call you to confirm you are safe.
Emergency with Phoenix.
Duress Phoenix is a bluetooth device that lets you control the Duress App remotely.
Click Phoenix three times to activate Emergency. Phoenix will flash red to confirm your alert has been sent.
When you activate emergency with Phoenix, you will also get a confirmation notification on your phone.
To cancel the emergency, click the alert notification, or open the app and click Cancel Emergency.
Duress 24/7 Operations Centre
Duress Operations Centre is our A1 graded monitoring facility.
Our Operators monitor all of our customers activations, and are authorised to urgently request emergency services.
When you activate an emergency, your phone stream live video, audio and location through to Operators who can see and hear what is occurring.
In the event you need emergency services, they will contact either Police or Ambulance directly.
If they can see you are safe, they will call you to confirm you are safe.
Emergency Notifications
If you are nominated to receive alerts for your team, you will receive updates about emergency activations. Although you are not expected to do anything (as Duress Operators will triage and escalate the activation), nominated users receive every status update about an activation.
You will receive a notification when:
An emergency is activated
Operators begin monitoring the activation
Operators urgently request emergency services
Operators mark it as a false alarm
Operators call the user
Operators confirm they are safe
Each notification includes the live video, audio and location of the activation.

From the thousands of emergency activations we triage, we know the easiest way to activate emergency is with the Duress Phoenix Card, however you can also activate emergency by:
Clicking the emergency icon in the app
Clicking the widget
Clicking the always-on floating button (Android Only)
Using “Hey Siri” or “Ok Google”
Using Duress Phoenix™
Missing a safety timer
Shaking your phone (enable in menu)
Removing your earphones (enable in menu)
Clicking a mapped button (Android Only)
Actions on your Lock Screen.
Cancel Emergency
When you activate emergency with the app or with Phoenix, you can cancel it within the first 5 seconds.
Viewing an Emergency
When an emergency is activated, nominated people receive the live location and live video.
Status Updates
Nominated people also receive status updates from Duress Operators in real time, such as Police requested of False Alarm.
24/7 Monitoring
Duress Operations Centre
Duress Operations Centre is our A1 ASIAl monitoring centre, the highest certification in Australia. When an emergency is activated, our Operators receive live video, audio and location, and triage the activation to give your team the quickest effective response.
In an emergency, Operators are authorised to urgently request Police or Ambulance on your behalf.
If they can see the situation has de-escaulated, or can see you are just testing activating an emergency and that you are safe, they will call you to confirm you are safe.
Self Monitoring
Monitor your own Activations
Some organisations have the ability to monitor their own Emergencies, and Duress allows you to easily manage and monitor your own emergencies through Pathfinder, our online management portal.
In addition to live video, audio and location streaming through to Pathfinder, your nominated people will also receive emergency alerts on their phone.
Duress is also integrated into Mastermind and Patriot, allowing your existing monitoring centre to monitor your Duress activations.
